Freedom Direct Ltd Holiday Booking Website & Intranet
Working with the in-house team at Freedom Direct, we produced this stunning online portal for selling holidays from providers such as Thomas Cook, JetBlue, XL Airways and more.
The site is powered using provider-based XML feeds which are utilised in real-time to book holidays using strict criteria for each individual company. A custom cache implementation was developed to reduce bandwidth useage to a minimum while still retaining access to real-time booking data.
On the back-end of the system, a custom booking management service was developed so that booking information (again, gathered from individual company XML Feeds) was relayed immediately to the customer via e-mail, and was also made available to Freedom Direct call centre staff via their web browsers, should their be any discrepancy with the booking.
Additionally, using pre-cached data, an entire library of pre-filled landing pages for holiday destinations around the globe was automatically generated for SEO purposes, to the tune of 29,000 individual landing pages - all with booking capability.
As you might imagine, we're immensely proud of this project and look forward to watching Freedom Direct become one of the leaders in online holiday bookings.
