VenueCompass.com is a cutting edge tool for event planning professionals, allowing them to quickly find and review corporate event venues throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
Lani.Logic were approached by VenueCompass.com to design and build their brand new website in late 2009, and have developed a fantastic solution for their business.
The site is a searchable directory of over 8,000 worldwide hotels and other corporate event venues, each of which can be contacted directly through the website interface.
Searches are performed either using a directory facility (much like a phonebook) or via the cutting-edge integration of Bing Maps, which allows results to be plotted directly on a satellite map.
Once a venue has been located in the search results, a birds-eye-view is displayed, along with relevant contact details which the visitor can then use to contact the venue directly.
If a visitor is logged into their account on the website, the system allows them to shortlist up to fifteen seperate venues, and send a single enquiry to all of them at once, saving valuable time for the event planner.
A built-in review system allows event planners (and delegates) to rate their experiences at a specific venue, by using an intuitive 'slider' type interface.
